Includes mention of various hired men who worked with Torgerson, horses and cattle on the Barnes Farm, shipping horses to logging camps in northern Minnesota in the winter, working at a logging camp, threshing equipment, buying his own farm land, and Jerry McCarthy, a Glyndon, Minn. farmer who froze to death. Also includes a clipping.

Born 1894 in Sargent County, N.D. Family moved to Clay County, Minn. in 1899 and in 1909 moved north of Dilworth, Minn. Left partially paralyzed after recovering from influenza in 1918. He was employed by city of Dilworth, Minn. as town clerk and waterworks superintendent.
